Abstract:
The FeSiCr soft magnetic alloy powders were prepared by water atomization, and the powders with the particle size (
D50) between 5 and 40 μm were obtained. Effect of particle size on the magnetic properties of the FeSiCr soft magnetic alloy powders was studied to provide the guidance for the products application. In the results, the effective permeability (
μe) of the FeSiCr alloy powders increases with the increase of particle size, the attenuation amplitude of permeability is less than 5% in the frequency range of 100~1000 kHz, showing a good stability with frequency. Futhermore, with the increase in the particle size of FeSiCr alloy powders, the direct current (DC) bias properties decrease, and the core losses deteriorate, in which the increased losses is mainly due to the eddy current losses inside the particles of FeSiCr alloy powders.
