Abstract:
To study the effect of transition layer on the performance and microstructure of laser welded diamond saw blades, the sintered matrix and diamond saw blades were prepared by using three kinds of transition layers, and the performance of the sintered matrix and diamond saw blades welded by laser were tested and analyzed in this paper. The results show that, the metal based transition layer materials have the great influence on the quality and properties of the welded joint. The Co-based sintered matrix has the high hardness (HRB 97) and bending strength (
1383.5 MPa). The Cu-based sintered matrix shows the high relative density (93.7%) and uniform microstructure. Fe-based transition layer diamond saw blades have the best performance in tooth strength (
1986.6 MPa) and weld quality, followed by Co-based diamond saw blades. The microstructure of Cu-based transition layer is more uniform and fine, and the porosity is significantly reduced.
