Abstract:
Ultra-high speed laser cladding technology is the surface modification technology developed in recent years. Due to the characteristics of low dilution rate, small heat-affected zone, and high efficiency, it has been favored by scholars at home and abroad. The several common surface modification techniques were introduced and compared in this article. The research status of ultra-high speed laser cladding was analyzed as the three followed aspects: powder materials, process parameters, and microstructure and properties. The differences in microstructure and properties between traditional laser cladding coatings and ultra-high speed laser cladding coatings were discussed, and the application practice of ultra-high speed laser cladding technology was summarized. The current problems existing in ultra-high speed laser cladding technology were reviewed, and the development trend was prospected.
