Abstract:
Based on the Incopat patent database, the literature search, data extraction, and quantitative analysis were conducted on the global powder metallurgy technology fields of hot isostatic pressing titanium alloys from the perspective of patent data. The overall situation of the hot isostatic pressing titanium alloy patents was presented from the aspects as the patent application trends, technological trends, and major country applications. The results show that China pays more attention to the exploration of hot isostatic pressing titanium alloys and has a significant advantage in the number of technical patents. The applications of hot isostatic pressing titanium alloy patents mainly focus on the preparation technology, and the three sub-themes are as followed: the sintered powder metal/hard particles/powder metallurgy titanium alloys, sintering time/sintering temperature/titanium alloy metal, and nickel-titanium alloys/hot isostatic pressing/cold processing. The patent application institutions are mainly universities, and China, the United States, and Russia are the main countries for the powder metallurgy patent applications of hot isostatic pressing titanium alloys. It is necessary to pay attention to the quantity and quality improvement of the hot isostatic pressing titanium alloy patents, enhance the cooperation between universities and enterprises, and promote the patent layout of the hot isostatic pressing titanium alloy.
