Abstract:
Based on the patent data of high-entropy alloy catalysts, the patent filings trends and the technology life cycle, target countries/regions, and the ranking of major research institutions were analyzed in this paper. It also focused on sorting out preparation technologies, application fields, and catalytic performances of high-entropy alloy catalysts. It is found that the number of patent filings and applicants in this field has been growing rapidly in recent years; China is the main target country for patent filings, and Chinese research institutions have an advantage in the ranking of patent filings numbers; the main preparation technologies of high-entropy alloy catalysts disclosed in patents include magnetron sputtering, electrospinning, electrochemical deposition, wet chemical methods, dealloying, high-energy rapid reaction, and mechanical alloying, etc. Their application fields are involved in energy conversion and storage, environmental catalytic treatment, chemical synthesis and conversion, and advanced materials development. The future research direction in this field lies in optimizing the composition of catalysts, improving the preparation conditions, and expanding the application fields.
