Abstract: P/M iron base guide plate is a kind of thick plate with large size difference in three dimensions (500×112×10).It is difficult to be formed by rigid die pressing or rolling. Compacts with homogeneous density and high green strength can be obtained by cold isostatic pressing. Through the use of cold isostatic pressing, machining, sintering and remachining P/M iron base guide plate has a low material cost which is ⅓-½ of conventional tin-bronze guide plate and the properties of P/M guide plate are better the conventional.
