Abstract:
Sintering characteristics of tungsten powder with mean particle size of 6.5 to 7.5μm singly reduced by hydrogen have been investigated. It is concluded that the relative density of porous tungsten components varies with the sintering temperature and time, particle size and green density. The parameters for producing porous tungsten products with relative density in a range of 78-81% and open porosity over 95% are outlined as follows; relative density of compacts-60-65%, sintering temperature 2100-2250℃ and sintering time-4~8 hours.
