Opening die analysis and die design of gear hub by powder metallurgy

  • With the rapid development of automobile manufacturing industry in China, the requirements for automobile transmission are increased. As an important part in the gearbox of automobile gearbox, it is very important to produce the synchronous gear hubs by powder metallurgy with high precision and high quality. In this paper, the opening die, die design, and production process of the representative gear hub by powder metallurgy were analyzed, the powder metallurgy gear hub die was designed and optimized from die structure, die clearance, die size, die selection, and die gap to improve service life, precision, and high quality of the produced gear hub.
