Effect of bucket temperature on grain morphology of semi-solid melt A356 by micro fused-casting

  • Effect of bucket temperature on the grain morphology of semi-solid melt A356 aluminum alloy by micro fused-casting was studied in this paper.In the results, the semi-solid melt A356 with uniform microstructure and fine grain can be formed at the appropriate temperature and a certain stirring speed.The semi-solid melt A356 in high quality can be prepared at the bucket temperature of 620 ℃ in the stirring velocity of 800 r·min-1, the average size of α-Al grains is 54 μm, the shape factor is 0.66, and the Vickers hardness is HV 82.97.
