  • The present paper describes the brief status of the developments of plastics-bronze-steel backed three layers composite self-lubricating materials similar to DU which have been studied and manufactured since the late in 1970's in our country.The structure and superior properties of these materials are generally described.Satisfactory results obtained by using the outstanding properties of these materials in pratice are discussed in detail.
