RIGID FEED AND SOFT FEED DURING PROCESS OF POWDER PRESSING

The present paper described the importance of automatic feed mechanism to automatically pressing and first put forward the concept of rigid feed and soft feed. The advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of feed modes were compared on a production base of practical examples of automatic feed mechanism. It was found that soft feed mode should be preferentially considered in case of the design of automatic feed mechanism. In practical examples, the compound movement feed mechanism was also described as a method for realizing soft feed.
