AN INVESTIGATION ON PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION OF RENÉ95 SUPERALLOY

Abstract
The present paper studies the particle size distribution function of atomized Rene95 superalloy powder. several batches of Rene95 powder were tested and the results were regressively calculated. It's defined that the particle size distribution function is of the negative exponential function model.
The statistic comparison between the slopes of linear regression equations was carried out in order to inspect the difference between two particle size distribution curves. Under given conditions, i.e.both curves are of the same distribution function and are in the same statistical range. It's proved that the assume is feasible.
By finding out the particle size distribution function,the standard deviation can be calculated,the confidence internal can be defined,and the difference between two distribution curves can be inspected,therefore it's very useful to control the quality of powder and to stipulate the specifications of particle size distribution.
