EFFECT OF FABRICATION TECHNOLOGY ON THE STRUCTURES AND PROPERTIES OF TiC CERAMIC FOAM

  • TiC skeleton preforms with volume fraction of 15%~70% can be fabricated by polymer foam immersion and vacuum sintered method. The volatilization of sintering aid Ni decreases by controlling the vacuum during sintering,so this can increase the density of the sinew of TiC skeleton. The addition of Mo also can increaese the density of the sinew of TiC skeleton. The mechanism of increase in density of the sinew of was discussed.
