Abstract
Stainless steel fibers with the diameter of Φ8μm、Φ12μm、Φ20μm were cut, unloosed and rolled out to form pieces of felt. The percentages of the bunchy fiber and the broken fiber in the felt were inspected. The results show that the percentage of bunchy fiber reduces, but the percentage of broken fiber increases as the length of the fiber being formed the felt increases. So the homogeneous fiber felt should be gained with the fiber of suitable length.
