THERMODYNAMICS ANALYSIS ON REACTION OF SINTERED Fe-C ALLOYS IN DISSOCIATED AMMONIA ATMOSPHERE

  • In present paper a result is deduced from thermo dynamics analysis tfhat it is difficult to form CH4 between H2 and graphite,but C is liable to be seized rom Fe8C by H2. As a protective atmosphere for sintering iron base materials, dissociated ammonia is a kind of decarburizing atmospheres.
    This paper try to make sure by thermo dynamics analysis which kind of chemical reactions can possibly happen when protective atmosphere is dissociatd ammonia during sintering P/M iron-base materials. The effect of dissociated ammonia on sintered materials is discussed. The characteristics of ammogas is further clear.
