INVESTIGATION AND APPLICATION OF IRON BASE WITH RARE EARTHS POWDER HOT FORGING MATERIALS

Iron base powder hot forging materials with rare earth oxide(La₂O₃) have been investigated.These materials exhibit superior heat treatability dimension stability and particularly high wear resistance. In present paper, the properties of materials and the strengthening mechanism of rare earths have been rudimentally anaiysized and studied. In order to further examine the experimental results, products were made from these materials.These products were used in practice. Results were satisfactory. These materials are worth extensively introducing.
