Abstract
The Al2O3 matrix is toughened by TZP transformation and TiC particle dispersed,its flexure strength σf and fracture toughhess KIC are up to 1106 MPa and 11 86 MPa·m1/2 respectively.It is successfully employed in spiral-grooved wire cold drawing die.The wear and damage behaviour of the drawing die and the influences of TZP transformation and TiC particles on wear and damage resistence are studied.The result show that the wear and damage resistence are greatly improved due to the transformation,crack deflection and bridging,residual stress.
