WETTABILITY OF Ti(C,N)-BASED CERMETS

  • The wettability between various binder phases and hard phases with different ratios of TiN/(TiC+TiN) has been studied. It is shown that for the hard phases Ti(C,N), Ni-Co is a good binder as R<0.5, and Ni-Co-Mo2C is much better as R≥0.5, however, Ni-Co-Mo is not a suitable binder.
