RESEARCH ON SYNTHESIS OF IN-SITU COMPOSITE A1-TiB2 BY COMBUSTION SYNTHESIS

  • This paper deals with the combustion synthesis of (A1,Ti,B) system, In-situ composite (A1-TiB2) was produced by combustion synthesis with powderls. The in-situ composite (A1-TiB2) was analysed and studied by DTA,XRD and SEM technique,The results were that A1-TiB2 was producedby combustion synthesis. The composition of raw materials were 80% A1+ 20% (Ti+2B) and 90%A1 + 10% (Ti+ 2B). There was less TiA13 in the process, There are not clear boundaries between A1and TiB2.
