MANUFACTURE OF HEAVY ALLOY BALLS

The optimum sintering conditions of heavy allaoy balls were established by making comparison between different experimental.precessings.By using extruding-tumbling process of ball blanks and investigating the factors affecting rounding-up efficiency, the optimum Process parameters for rounding-up were obtained.Alloy balls have been carried out case hardening, which results in having a hard surface and keeping the inherent plasticity of the core. After lapping botn the deviation from spheriodicity and the finished surface of the heavy alloy balls are comparable to Grade I,GB308-77 (China National Standard for Bearing Steel Balls).
