HEAT TRANSFER AND SOLIDIFICATION BEHAVIOR OF SUPERALLOY DROPLETS DURING SPRAY FORMING

  • A mathematical model was modified to calculate the velocity, heat transfer coefficient, temperature, solid fraction and cooling rate of atomizin droplets with various droplet size and flight distance for a superalloy, The changing trend as well as the mechanism were described and analyzed. The effects of atomizing pressure and superheating on the above parameters were discussed.
