A STUDY OF SOLID SELF-LUBRICATING MATERIALS AND ITS SOME APPLICATIONS

The present paper briefly describes some characteristics of solid self-lubricating materials and their lubricating mechanism. The process technology of P/M solid lubricants and the selection standard of solid lubricants and metallic matrix are also discusses. Some examples of application of P/M solid self-lubricating materials in China in recent years are introduced.In some special operation conditions these materials worked quite well.
