DEVELOPMENT OF SINTERED BRONZED-IRON BASE BEARING MATERIALS

  • Sintered bronze(6-6-3)-iron bearing materials are superior to bronze(6-6-3) bearing materials in mechanical and frictional properties and wearafility. The addition of iron element decreases demensional shrinkage ratios during sintering. Iron and copper form Cu-Fe pseudo-alloy with homogeneous microstructure. The influences of iron contents and sintering temperatures on the dimensional shrinkage ratio and mechanical and frictional properties and wearafility have been studied. The mechanism of influence has been analysized.
