ON-LINE MEASUREMENT OF PARAMETERS IN ATOMIZATION PROCESS OF METALS

Making the powder of metals and alloys by atomozation process is a new techniques developed over past two decads. Some on-line available techniques for measurementS of temperature profile and distribution of velocity and size of droplet and powder are introduced in this paper. They mainly are based on imaging and nonimaging principles, including real time visualization, laser scattering,laser diffraction and laser Doppler techniques.
