RESEARCH ON RARE EARTH CEMENTED CARBIDE YG6R

  • In this paper, the production process, structure and physico-mechanical properties of rareearths cemented carbide YG6R have been studied and the practical experiments of cutting tool or diemade of this cemented carbide have been carried out. The results have shown that the bending strengthat room temperature of YG6R alloy at least increases by 10% and its durability increases by 1.5~3.5 times as compared with that of YG6 alloy. It might replace YG8 alloy as intermittentrough-cutting. Its used Life is 1.5~2.0 times as long as that of YG8 allog. It has remarkable socialeconomic effect.
