Al-Fe-Ce-Ti-(Si) HEAT RESISTANT ALLOY MADE BY RAPIDLY SOLIDIFICATED POWDER

  • The paper has studied the microstructures and properties of Al-Fe-Ce-Ti-(Si) alloy hot extruded from rapidly solidificated powder obtained by rotary blade method. Results have shown that recrystallization temperature of the alloy can be enhanced in case of the addition of Ti element, but its strength at high temperature is decreased in case of the addition of Si for the low resistance to coarsing of forming α-Al12(Fe, Ti)3Si phase. The alloy without Si has a strength of 275MPa at 573K as a result of large amounts of second phase with superior heat stability.
