  • The equipment for Producing low oxygen content metal powder developed in this article is of a integral sealing type.The atomizer is composed of nozzle with atomizing pipe or with atomizing cabinet and the pressure of atomizing water is up to 16 MPa.The atomization and collection of powder can be simultaneously conducted by using a hydraulic rotator which is spray-absorption type.The main technological characteristic is to prevent from contacting with air during the process of making powder.The atomized hot powder fell into cold water rapidly and was fiercely agitated so that there was no oxygen film formed on powder surfaces.Therefore metal powder with low oxygen conent could be produced.This device has the advantages of compact structure,low cost convenicnt operation and maintenance, and is also available for experimental laboratories.The Paper has briefly described the operation principles of the equipment,its main performance,processing charaCteristics and several techical problems which can be solved.
