INVESTIGATION ON W-Ni-Cu-Sn HEAVY ALLOYS

  • of the tensile strength, density and hardness of 85w-Ni-Cu-Sn alloys with variations of the sintering temperature, that is below the best sintering temperature, the tensile strength, density and hardness increase as the temperature rise; above the best sintering temperature, they reduce slightly. The sintered compact of three above heavy alloys was basically densified after sintering 1 hour.
The tensile strength of W-Ni-Cu-Sn 1% alloy is higher than the others,The strength of alloys decreases obviously as the content of Sn addition increases. The research results showed that 85W-Ni-Cu-Sn 1% alloy compared with 93w-Ni-Cu alloy. The sintering temperature will reduce from 1320℃ to 1140℃, the tensile strength will increase from 686N/mm2 to 980N/mm2,and the thermal expansion coefficient will be improved 28%.
