APPLICATIONS OF P/M SOFT MAGNETIC MATERIALS IN XC TYPE METERS

Applications of P/M soft magnetic materials in producing the parts in XC type meters and their technical and economic results are described. Final parts with a density ≥ 7g/cm³ obtained by pressing, sintering in hydrogen atmosphere and repressing can meet the reouirements for assembling in the meters. The parts have shown obviously economic advantages. Raw materials of 60,000 chinese yuan and operational costs of 120,000 chinese yuan can be saved when compated with those of parts macninined from DT4 pure iron bars(utilization of which being only 4%).It has proved that P/M soft magnetic materials can be extensively used in meters.
