Abstract
Blaine's air permeabiiity apparatus has been set up in our Institute and used for measuring the specific surface of quasi-spheric carbongl iron powder. The mean diameter approximates to the results of Fisher subsieve sizer and the mean statistical diameter measured by microscope, but is larger than that determined by nitrogen adsorption method. This apparatus is very simple and easy to make. It is also very convenient to use for routine test.
