Abstract
Influences of carbon, silicon and aluminium on the surface reaction of austenite stainless steel powder during sintering have been studied. It has been found that the morphology and distribution of products from surface reaction depend upon the reducing behaviour of alloying elements which influence the mechanical properties of sintered materials directly.
