INFLUENCE OF RARE-EARTH ON PROPERTIES OF WC-Ni CEMENTED CARBIDE

  • The influence of rare-earth elements on the properties of cemented carbide with Co substituted by Ni has been studied. The results show that rare-earth elements allow for substantially improving the properties of WC-8%Ni cemented carbide and the WC-8%Ni cemented carbide with an addition of 1.2%-1.6% rare earth element of Ni content can be used for replacing traditional WC-Co cemented carbide.
