STUDY ON THE METHOD OF DRYING AND LUMINOUS ANNEALING OF Cu-Zn POWDER MADE BY WET GRINDING

  • A method of drying and luminous annealing of Cu-Zn powder made by wet grinding and its technological parameter was studied according to the fact that copper and its alloy can be annealing without oxidizing in the water vapor and the property of copper zinc alloy powder made by wet grinding. The results show that drying and luminous annealing of Cu-Zn powder made by wet grinding could be finished in one step and factors, such as water content, pressure, temperature and time, influenced annealing result. The optimum process was given. With this process excellent results were obtained. Before and after annealing the powder not only has the same brightness and the same color, but also has less increase of oxygen content (about 0.3%). The method is simple and efficient, which can deal with the problems of drying and luminous annealing of Cu-Zn powder made by wet grinding in the production.
