FRICTION AND WEAR OF MULTIELEMENT CO-PENETRATED LAYER OF IRON BASE P/M MATERIALS

  • The present paper has studied the behaviour of friction and wear and the metallographic structure of the Penetrated layer after multielement co-penetration of the iron base P/M materials with different compositions and densities. The results have shown that the wear resistance of iron base P/M materials with lower density after co-penentration treatment is superior to those with higher density,and the former also have lower friction torque and friction coefficient.
