  • A brief review has been made for some applications and developments in powder metallurgy techniques of nuclear waste solidification treatment. After having described the powder preparation and cold pressing, hot pressing or hot-isostatic pressing of highly active waste disposal in several countries including Sweden,Australia,U.S.A.,Federal Republic of Germany and Japan,the present paper pointed out that the application of powder metallurgy technology to fixation of nuclear wastes has become an important trend in nuclear waste management field.
