Effect of Clad on Diamond's Strength and Bond Capacity Between Diamond and Metal Matrix

The metal Ti is claded on diamond by vacuum deposited.The compression strength of the diamond and the bending strength of the diamound sample are measured,the fracture of the diamound sample is observed by SEM,the influence of clad on diamond's compression strength and bending strength of the diamond sample is discussed.The results show that grinding capacity and Life span of the claded diamond tool are improved greatly.
