WARM COMPACTION BEHAVIOR OF VARIOUS METAL POWDERS

  • This paper gives a research on warm compaction behavior of Al powder, Cu powder and W powder, and compares with warm compaction behavior of Fe powder. The results show that warm compaction has a densification result not only for plastic powders but also for brittle powders. Warm compaction is able to increase green density, as well as to decrease ejection pressure and spring back.
