STUDY ON FRICTION AND WEAR AND WEAR PROPERTIES OF GRAPHITE-ZTA SELF-LUBRICATION CERAMIC CERAMIC COMPOSITES

  • The graphite-ZTA Self-lubrication ceramic composites were produced by means of hot-pressing. Friction and wear Properties of the ceramic composites were investigated. It is found that proper addition of graphite will decrease friction coefficients of the composites, Which shows good Self-lubrication property. Extra-high graphite contents will increase the wearness and friction coefficient of the composites. Wear mechanisms of the composites are explained in terms of microfracture and plough-cutting.
