  • The microstructure of Al-Si alloys can be remarkably modified by rapid solidification processes. The properties of the alloys can be improved notably. The alloys having excellent properties such as good wear and heat resistance, high strength, lightweight and low thermal expansion coefficient; possess extensive potential applications in automobile, electron and aircraft industry. In this paper, above related contents were summarized. The problems and development trend on rapidly solidified Al-Si alloys research field were also addressed.
