Abstract
On the basis of replacing cobalt Partly with iron and nickel, and the influence of rare-earth content on properties of WC-20(Fe/Co/Ni) alloy prepared conventional convess process was investigated. The results results show that when proper content of rare-earth is added, the alloy's hardness increases obviously (HRA0.2~1.5). When rare earth about 0.2 percent Weight of binder phase is added, the alloy's transverse rupture strength increases 5.8%, and the wear-resistance improves. The spherical pecipitates (containing RE) are found at the interface of WC/binder phase by SEM. X-ray analysis shows that the addition of rare-earth can change the relative content of the γ-Fe/Go/Ni and α-Fe/Co/Ni. The influence mechanism of rare-earth on the alloy's properties was discussed according to the results mentioned above.
