Abstract
M.Yu. Balshin is a well-known powder metallurgist in the world. The compact equation ln p=-AV+B put forward by M. Yu. Balshin in 1938 is still cited in Metal Handbook, Ninth edition, Vol. 7, powder Metallurgy (1984). As early as 1970', a family of compacts or consolidation equations a=θ2z, f=F(θ,α), p=pαf based on a series of new powder consolidation theories was put forward by M. Yu. Balshin, but they are seldom known by powder metallurgists in the world except in original USSR. So the author of this paper describes summarily a series of powder metallurgy theories suggested by M.Yu.Balshin since 1960. It perhaps will be helpful for P/M theoritic study in our country,
