OPEN UP A NEW PROSPECT OF IRON POWDER PRODUCTION IN OUR COUNTRY BY IMPROVING QUALITY AND INCREASING VARIETIES-A SUMMARY OF DISCUSSION ON “HOW TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF P/M IRON POWDER”

  • 摘要: The symposium on P/M-purpose iron quality problems has go on since Vol. 1, No. 2, 1982 until now in our Journal of "Ponder Metallurgy Technology". The discussion will be of great significance for iron powder production in our country. The present paper is a summaly of this discussion. The main contents are as follows.
    1.The main industrial processes of iron powder for P/M application are the reduction with solid carbon in tunnel kiln and water atomization.
    2.It is in urgent need to improve the homogeneity and uniformity of iron powder quality at the present.
    3.The second redution process is an effective measure to further improve iron powder quality.
    4.To increase the varieties of iron powder and to develop special-purpose iron powder grades to be suitable for various applications.
    5.To accelerate the technical reconstruction, and to built large scale Industrial plant.
