Thermal Debinding of Low Molecular Weight Components in Extruding WC-Co Compacts

  • The thermal debinding of low molecular weight components (LMWC) in cemented carbide's extrucding compacts and it's debinding machaism have been studied.The LMWC were almost totally removed at 240℃,the retained substances (about 5 wt%) with the copolymer will be removed at more high temperature.In the new binder systems,the main LMWC components may exist in a independent phase.Only about 5wt% of it exists as the mixture of polymer A and LMWC.
