Powder Metallurgy Technology (ISSN 1001-3784, CN 11-1974/TF) is a scientific and technologic journal governed by China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Chinese Society for Metals, Nonferrous Metals Society of China, and University of Science and Technology Beijing. The journal started publishing in 1982 and the Editor-in-Chief is prof. Qu Xuan-hui. Submission and subscription are welcomed.
1 Manuscript Submission
(1) Powder Metallurgy Technology only accepts manuscripts not published before. Translation of a published paper is not acceptable. Manuscript content should be novel, scientific, with a clear theme, sufficient arguments, clear structure, concise wording, reliable data, and clear diagrams. The national legal units of measurement should be adopted.
(2) The Editorial Office of Powder Metallurgy Technology owns the copyright of the paper, including online version and CD-ROM version. It has right to make appropriate changes to manuscripts but will confirm with the authors in case of major changes. If authors do not agree with modifications, they should declare when submitting the manuscript, otherwise it will be deemed as agreed.
(3) The journal will notify whether the manuscript is accepted or not within 3 months from the date of receipt. If the deadline is exceeded, please check with the editorial office in time to avoid multiple submission. The publication cycle of the journal is usually no more than 12 months. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, a one-off renumeration will be paid for the print, CD-ROM and online versions. If a manuscript is not accepted for publication, it will not be returned, hence the authors may keep a copy by themselves. If a manuscript is requested for revision but not returned after 3 months, it will be considered as withdrawn.
(4) This journal employs the CNKI plagiarism detection system to check all submissions, and manuscripts that do not meet the requirements will be rejected.
(5) This journal charges a page fee for accepted manuscripts. The fee standard is as follows: RMB 350 yuan per paper
2 Manuscript Requirements
(1) Each manuscript should include: title, authors' names, authors' affiliations, abstract, keywords, CLC number, date of submission, main body text and references, etc. The title, authors' names, authors' affiliations, abstract, and keywords should also be written in English. The length of full text should be 5,000~10,000 Chinese characters.
(2) The title of the paper should be concise, accurate and original, and should not exceed 20 Chinese characters. An author's name is divided into two parts: family name and given name, with the family name in front and the given name at back. The full names of affiliations should be written without abbreviations. The following information should be stated in order: name of affiliation, location (city), postal code, and country. The date of submission should be written as yyyy-mm-dd, eg, 2011-11-01.
(3) Abstracts should not be divided into paragraphs. It should be independent, complete in meaning, accurate in wording, concise, specific in information, adopting descriptive style in writing. Formulas, figures and tables should be avoided. The first sentence should not repeat the title of the paper. Uncommon symbols should not be used. There should be no self-evaluation and content not covered in the main text. English abstract should adopt simple sentences as much as possible. Abstract generally includes four sections: objective, methods, results, and conclusion. The methods may include the main principles, boundary conditions, main equipment, instruments, or software used. The results mainly cover the research results obtained by using the research methods in the text. The conclusion may include the achievements or applications. An abstract is generally 200-300 Chinese characters. Keywords should be standardized, with 5~8 words as appropriate.
(4) References should only include literatures that the author has read in person, cited in the main body text, and officially published (mainly journals, citing of books should be sparing). Second-hand literature should not be listed in references, while the literature published in the latest 5 years should account for 70% as the total number of references should be 15~20. The references should be numbered consecutively according to the order of citation in the main body text. All non-English literature must also be translated into English.
