Section 1 Peer Review
1 Review Process: All manuscripts submitted to this journal are subject to initial review by editors. After passing the initial review, manuscripts will be forwarded to two reviewers for single-blind peer review, who will provide specific suggestions on the acceptance, rejection, or revision of the manuscript. Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the review comments and then return it for secondary review. The editor-in-chief will conduct a final review to determine whether the manuscript will be accepted.
2 Timing: The journal will notify authors whether the manuscript is accepted or not within 3 months from the date of receipt. If the deadline is exceeded, please check with the editorial office in time to avoid multiple submission. The publication cycle of the journal is usually no more than 12 months. If a manuscript is requested for revision but not returned after 3 months, it will be considered as withdrawn.
3 Special Issues and Columns: The review process for special issues and columns follows the same procedure as the regular issues, including identical review and editorial processes, with the editor-in-chief making the final acceptance decision. The editor-in-chief is responsible for all content, including special issues and columns. For special issues, authoritative experts in the field may be invited to serve as guest editors, overseeing theme proposal, manuscript solicitation, peer review organization, and addressing any publication issues under the editor-in-chief's supervision to ensure fairness in the review process.
4 Submissions by EBMs/Editors/Guest Editors: Submissions by Editorial Board Members/Editors/Guest Editors must adhere to the journal's review and editorial procedures, ensuring independence from the involved individuals and their research groups. They cannot participate in reviews of manuscripts with whose authors they have conflicts of interest.
Section 2 Copyright and Open Access Policy
1. Open Access：Powder Metallurgy Technology flipped to an open access journal in 2023. Since the first issue of 2023, once published, all articles are immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. All articles published in this journal since 1992 are also open access and can be downloaded from this website for free. For technical reasons, articles published before 1992 are not open access, but some full-text articles can be read and downloaded free of charge from this website, the copyright of which belong to the editorial office of this journal.
2. OA Licensing: For all open access articles of this journal, permitted third party reuse of the articles published by the journal is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows reusers to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms below are followed: reusers must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. Reusers may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the use. Reusers may not use the material for commercial purposes. If reusers remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material. 3. Archiving：All journal articles published since 1992 are archived on this website. The soft and hard copies of all articles are archived in the editorial office. In order to ensure data security, all information has also been backed up in the editorial office. In addition, other relevant materials are also kept by the editorial office, such as supplementary information and forms provided by the authors.
4. Copyright: All authors should sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement. Authors agree to transfer the copyright of the paper it owns to Editorial Office of Powder Metallurgy Technology, including but not limited to following rights: (1) Compilation (in full or in part); (2) Translation; (3) Reproduction of print and electronic versions; (4) Online dissemination; (5) Distribution. The Editorial Office has right to make online first digital publication of this paper on this journal’s website and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (www.cnki. net) before its print edition. Authors may use the paper under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License and may include (or translate) some of the paper content in its subsequent works or compile it in authors’ non-journal collections.
Section 3 Advertising Policy
Powder Metallurgy Technology welcomes advertising from companies in the industry. The advertisement will be posted in the print journals. Our advertising policy is as follows.
1. The publishing of all advertisements will be collectively discussed and decided upon on our editorial meetings.
2. Advertisements published in the journals must comply with the Advertising Law of The People’s Republic of China and relevant laws and regulations. The journal will not publish advertisements not meeting the provision of relevant laws and regulations, or not in the scope of the journal.
3. The journal may make reasonable amendments to advertisements but will obtain the consent of advertisers in advance.
4. The commercial content will be completely separated from academic content. Advertising will not affect editors' decision to accept manuscripts.
5. In case of potential conflicts of interest, authors, editors and reviewers will disclose the information in accordance with relevant international guidelines.
